What I am Manifesting in 2022
While February may be the shortest month in terms of days, it’s long on reasons to celebrate. For me, it’s also a time to regroup and sit with my thoughts after a hectic holiday and New Year’s season. I always actively plan for the upcoming New Year, but oftentimes what resonates with me and what influences my focus and direction doesn’t come to me until I am well into a fresh new calendar year. With that in mind, I would like to share with you the goals, visions, and paths I hope to take in 2022:
Independence: With every passing day, I find myself more and more in tune with what my heart, soul, and body is needing. As a student of life, I am always learning and focusing on worrying less, not allowing myself to be triggered by past offenders and circumstances, and mastering my favorite mantra, “Not my circus, not my monkeys!”
CEO-ness: I am proud to say that all of the “seeds” I planted in 2020 and 2021 are now sprouting in joyous abundance. My latest book, Thrive-Living A Self-Healed Life, is launching this week and I have begun work on the follow-up book, Plentiful. I am committed to continuing my weekly podcasts on my Mongata School site and I hope you are among the many who are raving about how these sessions are bringing back peace and calm to their lives. My mind is buzzing with upcoming courses to create and offer that will help participants reap the rewards of Living Vibrantly.
Abundance: Abundance means different things to different people. When I think of abundance, I think of all the people who are wishing for this right now. They are seeing the lack in their lives and truly wishing and desiring a different outcome for themselves. To you I say, " Congratulations. You have chosen up for yourself today. You are brave. You are strong and you have chosen to take a step forward by being present in this very moment."
Just know that by doing this simple act. By wanting and desiring to be abundant, know that you have all the strength you need to make it happen.
When we think of abundance it's usual to immediately thing of lack, of what we don't have which is making us not abundant. Abundance is the plentifulness of all the good things.
A lack of resources doesn't mean you can't have a meaningful life. A lack of energy doesn't mean you can't be inspired. Sometimes we have to redefine success to measure up to our own measuring tape and not someone else’s. In our state of lack doesn't mean that we have to give up trying, or give up hoping, or give up trusting, that tomorrow will be better than the day before. Even in our scarcity we can experience abundance.
Well Being: "There are years that ask questions and years that answer." Zoea Neale Hurston
I can say that these pandemic years have been about discovering answers to all the whys of the previous years. It has been a time for reflection and transformation and ultimately my own healing journey. Each day is filled with the practices which give me inner peace and joy. Some days are filled with creation such as composing music, writing, or knitting. All of my days consist of movement in my daily Qigong practice and long afternoon walks. At least one day a week, I schedule business-type tasks. But I am always listening to what my sense of well being needs. These COVID years have taught me to create a gentle structure and balance to my days, always listening to what I'm needing.
Peace: Every breath you breathe is a moment and chance to embody peace. Peace doesn't mean that things are easy or difficult. We will always be presented with situations that are difficult, that bother us. Peace is this constant state of being which is our foundation. It wraps itself all around us. Even through the discord, we can choose to be the peaceful presence. One of my teachers told me that the strongest vibe in the room is the one that controls the emotion of the room. Often times we look at that "strongest vibe" of presence towards the negative. The one who is the saddest, the angriest, the one who is worrying the most, gets the attention of the room and holds the room.
This also works with positive emotions such as peace. Be the Peace you want to see in the world.
Love: When I think of Love it isn't the romantic kind but the self kind. I have been ardently practicing self-love over that past couple of years
but for sure everyday this year. It's a conscious practice. Somewhere along my path I learned that there are really only two types of emotions, fear and love.
I think of love as the absence of fear.
I invite you to notice each day whether you are choosing to live in fear or love. Fear has the power to keep us disconnected from our own inner voice. Fear keeps us stuck in our head worrying about the world outside of ourselves.
I've learned to experience love when I actively ignore those nagging pings of what I should be worried about. Of my ego's insistence that I have much to fear and that I live in an unfriendly world. Is the world unkinder than I've been to myself? I have actively chosen and decided to be free from fear and doubt and return to this brilliant light of love inside of me.
All of us are connected to source energy. All of us carry this inner light of creation. Our brilliant light of love is always with you. Who you really are, who I really am is this unclouded sparkle of love.
Self love is a must for us to experience love in our outer life and world.
